Description THE Vosges fir honey with Protected Designation of Origin (AOP) from Vosges AOP is a rare, dark honey, among the most famous in France, harvested by Franck Fesser in the white fir forests of the Vosges. With a malty flavor, sweet and without bitterness, its power is less sweet than other honeys. What stands out is also its very aromatic scent. Fir honey is known for its numerous antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties for the respiratory tract. This honey comes from honeydew, a sweet substance secreted by aphids then collected by bees. And this is precisely what makes it rare: the harvesting conditions for this honey are complex and depend on the season and a changing micro-climate. This nectar, the fruit of this precious and fragile ecosystem that is the Vosges forest, deserves its reputation and prestige. Unlike other terroirs, the honey is analyzed and judged before obtaining its appellation. A demanding technical course which allows for extreme product quality.
