In March, the favorite is cabbage

In March, cabbage still holds the top spot for seasonal vegetable. We are going to share with you some easy recipes to cook it with all the sauces and make you love it.

Economical, nourishing, full of vitamins, it can be boiled, sautéed, roasted, blanched but above all devoured.

Buttered green cabbage

Here, take a green cabbage . Remove the first leaves. Remove the leaves and cook them the English way , that is to say twenty minutes in boiling salted water. Once cooking is finished, pass the leaves directly under very cold water . Once they have cooled, remove the central veins and cut the leaves into strips. In a pan, brown a knob of butter, add the strips of cabbage and for a whole green cabbage, add 120g of Lehmann churned butter . Let it melt and return to medium then low heat for ten minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. This is what we call a buttered green cabbage . Easy, right? You can even add a few pieces of smoked bacon . A very easy recipe to make which will go wonderfully with a cumin sausage or andouille from Val d'Ajol .

Stock up on vitamins. Spring is still a long way off in March so don't hesitate, indulge in fruits, preferably French! More exotic, you can go for the very delicious and sweet pineapples, the bright pomegranates, the sweet and voluptuous mangoes, the acidic and subtle passion fruits.
